Jessi & Henry met in late 2009 in Auburn Hills, MI and quickly became great friends. They spent time going to the movies, watching and attending basketball games, shopping at the local mall, and playing basketball at Squirrel Park.

After losing touch for 10 years, Henry asked Jessi out for lunch to catch up and the rest is history. Lunch and a mall walk was just like old times (even though that one smoothie shop was gone) and became the date never ended. There was only one problem... Jessica was set to relocate to Washington, DC shortly after the friends reconnected.

After much consideration and traveling Henry decided to close the geographical space between them and moved to DC as well. With the love and support of family and friends, they both were able to grow and thrive in the new environment. The pair purchased their first home together and settled into a new life in Maryland.

Henry proposed on July 17, 2023 after he lured a very suprised Jessi to the Piano Bar with an invitation to "meet the Captain with FREE cocktails included" aboard the Carnival Celebration.
